The Zombie's Magic Garden

Lily loved visiting her grandmother's house, especially the backyard garden. But today something strange caught her eye. Behind the tall sunflowers, she spotted a greenish figure slowly digging in the dirt.

"Hello?" Lily called out softly.

The figure turned around slowly. It was a zombie, but not the scary kind from movies. This zombie wore a colorful straw hat and had the kindest eyes Lily had ever seen.

"Hello, little friend," the zombie said in a gentle, creaky voice. "I'm Zeb, and I'm planting magic seeds."

Lily's eyes grew wide. "Magic seeds?"

"Yes!" Zeb smiled. "Watch this." He planted a tiny seed, sprinkled some water, and suddenly a bright green spinach plant burst from the ground, glowing with sparkles.

"Wow!" Lily clapped her hands. "That's amazing! Can I help?"

Zeb nodded and handed her a seed. "This one is very special."

Lily planted it carefully. As she watered the soil, a tropical papaya tree grew instantly, filled with ripe, golden fruits. The smell was sweet and wonderful.

"These magical fruits make people happy," Zeb explained. "That's my special gift as a garden zombie."

Lily reached into her pocket and pulled out her old iphone. "Can I take a picture? I want to remember this forever."

"Of course," Zeb said. "But remember, the best memories are the ones we keep in our hearts."

Lily took the photo, then looked at Zeb thoughtfully. "You're not scary at all. You're the nicest zombie I've ever met."

"And you're a wonderful new friend," Zeb replied. "True friends see with their hearts, not just their eyes."

Together they spent the afternoon planting more magic seeds—purple flowers that sang, strawberries that tasted like sunshine, and carrots that made you giggle. As the sun began to set, Zeb handed Lily a small pouch.

"These are magic seeds for your own garden," he said. "Plant them with love, and they'll grow beautifully."

Lily hugged her new friend goodbye. She couldn't wait to start her own magical garden and share its wonders with others. She learned that sometimes the most wonderful discoveries come from being brave enough to say hello to someone unexpected.
