The Zombie's Magic Garden

Lily loved exploring the forest behind her house. One sunny afternoon, she spotted something strange—a pointy purple **hat** resting on a mushroom! But when she reached for it, a green hand gently plucked it first.

Lily gasped and stepped back. It was a **zombie**! But this zombie wasn't scary at all. He had patchy green skin, stitch marks on his cheeks, and the friendliest eyes Lily had ever seen. He placed the purple hat on his head and smiled.

"I'm Zeb," he said softly. "This is my gardening hat."

"You're a zombie who gardens?" Lily asked, her curiosity overcoming her surprise.

Zeb nodded and led her through a hidden path to an incredible garden. But these weren't ordinary plants. The **spinach** leaves sparkled like emeralds, and when Zeb plucked one, it chimed like a tiny bell! The **papaya** trees grew fruit that glowed golden in the sunlight.

"Try them," Zeb said kindly.

Lily took a bite of the magical spinach and suddenly felt light as a feather. She bounced three feet in the air! Then she tasted the papaya, and everything around her became colorful and musical.

"These plants grow from kindness," Zeb explained. "People think zombies are scary, but I just wanted to make the world more beautiful."

Lily realized something important. "Everyone judges you before knowing you. That's not fair."

Every day after school, Lily visited Zeb's magical garden. They planted rainbow flowers together, and Zeb gave Lily her very own sparkly gardening hat. The other children eventually came too, learning that the kindest friend they'd ever meet was someone they once feared.

The magical spinach and papaya taught the whole village that wonderful surprises come from the most unexpected places—and that friendship grows anywhere when you plant it with an open heart.
