The Zombie's Golden Wish
In the heart of the desert stood a mysterious pyramid, shimmering like gold under the hot sun. Inside its cool stone walls, a friendly zombie named Zara lived. But Zara wasn't like the zombies in scary stories. She had rosy cheeks and sparkling eyes, and she loved to make new friends.
One day, Zara discovered a magical pool hidden deep within the pyramid. The water glowed with rainbow colors, and swimming inside was the most beautiful goldfish anyone had ever seen. His scales sparkled like tiny stars, and his name was Finnegan.
"Welcome!" Finnegan bubbled happily. "This pool grants one special wish to anyone with a pure heart."
But the pyramid's magic was fading. A grumpy bull named Boris had blocked the entrance with his giant horns, demanding treasure before letting anyone pass. Boris wasn't always grumpy. Long ago, he had been the pyramid's guardian, but loneliness had made him bitter.
Zara had an idea. She didn't want to fight Boris. Instead, she wanted to help him.
"Finnegan," Zara whispered, "I wish for Boris to remember how wonderful friendship feels."
The goldfish swam in a sparkling circle. The pool's magic rushed through the pyramid like a warm breeze. Boris's horns transformed into golden crowns of flowers, and his frown turned into a surprised smile.
"I remember," Boris said softly. "I used to protect this place so children could find their dreams here."
That day, Boris, Zara, and Finnegan became the best of friends. Children from all over the world visited the magical pyramid, learning that true treasure isn't gold or jewels—it's the friends we make along the way.
And sometimes, the scariest-looking creatures just need someone to believe in them.
