The Zombie's Golden Baseball

Lily loved baseball more than anything. Every day after school, she could be found running across the grassy field, her glove held high, dreaming of catching the perfect fly ball.

One sunny afternoon, while practicing her swing, Lily noticed something strange near the old oak tree. A small green pyramid-shaped box glimmered in the grass. Curious, she picked it up. The label read: ZOMBIE'S ENERGY VITAMIN – For Champions Only!

"That's weird," Lily whispered. But she was tired from all that running, so she tucked the mysterious box into her pocket.

That night, under the glow of her flashlight, Lily opened the pyramid. Inside sat one glowing orange vitamin. But this was no ordinary vitamin! When she held it up, tiny baseball players danced across its surface.

Suddenly, her bedroom wall began to shimmer. A passage appeared, leading to a magical baseball field under the stars. And there, standing on the pitcher's mound, was a friendly zombie!

"Greetings, Champion!" the zombie called out. He wasn't scary at all – he wore a baseball cap and a big smile. "I've been waiting for someone brave enough to find my magic vitamin."

The zombie explained that long ago, he was the greatest baseball player who ever lived. But he'd forgotten the most important thing about the game – it wasn't about winning. It was about friendship, teamwork, and having fun together.

"I created my magic vitamin to remind players," he said. "But I need someone to help me remember joy again. Will you play catch with me?"

Lily grinned. "I'd love that!"

They played baseball all night under the twinkling stars. The zombie taught Lily amazing tricks, and Lily taught the zombie how to laugh and enjoy the game without worrying about scores.

As dawn approached, the zombie handed Lily a real baseball. "Thank you for helping me remember. Every time you play, remember this – the best vitamin for your heart is friendship."

Lily woke up in her bed, the orange vitamin gone. But in her glove sat the zombie's baseball, glowing with warmth. She smiled, knowing she'd made the best friend ever, and learned that winning isn't everything – kindness and joy are the real magic.

From that day on, every time Lily stepped onto the baseball field, she played with a happy heart, always remembering her zombie friend's precious lesson.
