The Zombie's Glowing Hair
Deep in the Whispering Woods lived a zombie named Zeb, but he wasn't like the zombies in scary stories. Zeb was gentle as a summer breeze and loved nothing more than watching children play in the sunny meadow below his old stone tower.
Zeb had one big problem—his wild zombie hair! It sprouted in every direction, purple and green and tangled as a bird's nest. Whenever he tried to say hello to the children, they would run away screaming, frightened by his appearance. Zeb would sigh, his bony shoulders drooping, and return to his tower alone.
Every afternoon, the children gathered to play padel, their laughter drifting up to Zeb's window like wind chimes. The racquet's *thwack* against the ball sounded like music to his lonely ears. How Zeb wished he could join them!
One golden afternoon, brave little Lily wandered too far into the woods chasing a blue butterfly and found herself at Zeb's tower. Zeb peeked out from behind his stone wall, expecting her to run like all the others. Instead, she smiled.
"Your hair is beautiful!" Lily exclaimed, her eyes wide with wonder. "It looks like fireworks frozen in time!"
Zeb's jaw dropped in surprise. "You... you think so? Everyone else runs away."
"I'm not everyone else," Lily said with a grin. "Teach me to play padel. I've watched you watching us. I bet you're wonderful at it."
For the first time ever, Zeb came down from his tower. He and Lily played padel until the sun painted the sky pink and orange, and Zeb discovered something magical—when he was truly happy, his colorful hair began to glow and sparkle like tiny stars!
The next day, Lily brought all her friends. At first they were scared, but when they saw Zeb's glowing hair and heard his booming laugh as he played, they couldn't help but join in. Soon the whole village was playing padel with their new friend, and Zeb's tower became the most magical place in the kingdom.
Zeb learned that true friends don't care about appearances—they care about kindness. And the children learned that sometimes, the creatures who look scariest on the outside have the biggest, kindest hearts on the inside.
Now if you ever see purple and green hair glowing in the Whispering Woods, follow it! You might just find the best game of padel in the world, and a friend who will make your heart glow too.
