The Zombie's Friendly Palm

In a cozy blue house lived a boy named Timmy who had a secret friend. Every afternoon, he'd go swimming in his backyard pool, and always waiting for him was shimmering Goldie, his magical goldfish who could jump and splash like no other fish.

One stormy evening, lightning flashed across the sky while Timmy practiced his swimming strokes. Suddenly, something strange emerged from the garden - a little green zombie named Zara! But Zara wasn't scary at all. She just looked lonely and confused, like someone who had woken up from a very long nap.

"Don't be afraid," Zara said in a gentle voice. "I've been sleeping underground for one hundred years. The lightning woke me up, and now I don't know where I belong."

Timmy noticed Zara's hands were empty. She held no toys, no treasures. "Would you like to be friends?" he asked, reaching out his palm.

Zara's eyes lit up. No one had ever offered her friendship before. She smiled, revealing she wasn't scary at all - just someone who needed kindness.

Goldie splashed happily, sensing something magical was happening. The three new friends spent the whole evening playing together. Zara taught Timmy games from long ago, Timmy showed Zara how wonderful the modern world was, and Goldie did flips of joy.

"The most important thing I learned while sleeping," Zara said, "is that friendship is the greatest treasure of all."

Timmy squeezed Zara's hand. "And we learned that sometimes the scariest-looking things just need someone to give them a chance."

From that day on, Zara became part of Timmy's family. She never felt lonely again, and Timmy discovered that true friends come in all shapes, sizes, and colors - even green ones who once slept underground for a hundred years.
