The Zombie Phone's Ocean Magic
Lily was playing by the sparkling stream when something shiny caught her eye. Half-buried in the soft mud was an old iphone! Its screen was cracked, but when Lily wiped it clean, it glowed with a mysterious blue light.
To her surprise, a tiny face appeared on the screen. It was green and a bit bumpy, with messy hair and crooked teeth. "Hello!" said the little face. "I'm Zim! I'm a water zombie!"
Lily had never heard of a water zombie before. "Aren't zombies scary?" she asked, stepping back a little.
Zim laughed. "Not water zombies! We're the friendliest magical creatures. We live in old phones that fall in the water, and we make sure the water stays clean and happy for all the fish and frogs!"
Lily's eyes grew wide with wonder. "Really? That's amazing!"
"But I have a problem," Zim said sadly. "My iphone home is too far from the river. I can't reach the water to do my job!"
Lily looked at the sparkling water, then back at Zim's worried face. She knew exactly what to do. Carefully, she carried the iphone to the edge of the stream and gently placed it on a flat rock where the water could splash over it.
As soon as the water touched the phone, Zim's face lit up with joy. "Thank you, Lily!" he cheered. "Now I can help keep this beautiful stream clean forever!"
Suddenly, the water around the phone began to sparkle with tiny rainbow bubbles. Fish swam closer to see what was happening. A little frog sat on a lily pad, watching with big curious eyes.
"You made a new friend today," said her mom, walking up behind her. "And helped take care of nature, too."
Lily smiled. Sometimes, the most unexpected friendships bring the most wonderful magic. And now, every time she visited the stream, she would wave to Zim, the happiest little water zombie in the world.
