The Zombie Morning Glory
Emma's garden was her favorite place in the whole world. Every day after school, she watered her flowers and talked to them like friends. But one morning, she found her morning glory vine lying completely limp on the ground, looking brown and lifeless.
"Oh no!" Emma cried. "You look like a little zombie plant!"
Her grandmother shook her head knowingly. "Some plants just need magic water, Emma. Let me show you something special."
They hiked to the hidden spring behind the old oak tree. The water sparkled with tiny rainbows, and Emma could feel it humming with energy. "This water remembers every storm it's seen," Grandma whispered.
That afternoon, a strange storm rolled in. Purple clouds gathered overhead, and Emma watched in wonder as lightning bolts danced across the sky—but they weren't scary. They looked like nature's fireworks!
"Quick!" Grandma shouted over the thunder. "Collect the rain in this special bucket!"
Emma held the bucket under the magical spring as lightning struck nearby, making the water glow with golden light. "This is amazing!" she laughed.
They poured the enchanted water over the zombie morning glory, and Emma crushed her multivitamin into the soil too. "Just in case you need some extra strength," she whispered.
The next morning, Emma couldn't believe her eyes. The morning glory wasn't just alive—it was magnificent! Purple flowers glowed softly, and the vine had grown three feet overnight, reaching toward the sky like it was thanking the lightning.
"Magic water, lightning energy, and a little vitamin boost," Grandma smiled. "But the most important ingredient was your love."
Emma learned that day that sometimes things look like they're gone forever, but with the right care and magic, they can come back stronger than ever. And friendship? That's the best vitamin of all.
