The Zombie in the Phone

Lily loved her iphone more than anything. She played games, watched videos, and took pictures of her cat, Muffin. But one sunny day, something strange happened.

While Lily was swimming in the lake, she dropped her iphone in the water. Oh no! She dove under, searching through the sparkly ripples. The water felt cool and refreshing, like a giant glass of lemonade.

Suddenly, the iphone started glowing. A tiny zombie popped out of the screen - but not a scary zombie! This was a cute, green zombie with purple spots and a big smile. "Hi! I'm Zippy!" the zombie said. "I've been stuck in that phone for forever!"

Lily wasn't scared at all. "Want to play?" she asked.

Zippy's eyes lit up. "Yes! I haven't had fun in SO long!"

They spent the afternoon running through the grass, chasing butterflies, and having the best adventure ever. Zippy showed Lily how to do silly zombie dances, and Lily taught Zippy how to skip stones across the water.

"Phones are nice," Zippy said, "but the real world is MAGICAL!"

As the sun began to set, Zippy started fading. "Thank you for the best day ever," Zippy whispered. "I'll always be your friend, even if you can't see me."

Lily's iphone dried out and worked perfectly again. But sometimes, when she's playing her favorite game, she can still see Zippy's cute face winking at her from the screen.

That night, Lily learned something important: the best adventures aren't on screens - they're right outside, waiting for you to discover them. And sometimes, the best friends come from the most unexpected places.
