The Zombie Goldfish's Baseball Magic
Leo's pet goldfish, Sparkle, had been the best fish in the world. She would swim to the top of her bowl when Leo came home from school and do little flips for him. But one morning, Leo found Sparkle floating at the top, not moving.
Tears rolled down Leo's face as he buried Sparkle in the garden under the big oak tree. That afternoon, Leo had his big baseball game, but his heart wasn't in it. His team, the Sparkling Stars, was counting on him to hit the winning run.
"I can't do it without Sparkle," Leo whispered, sitting on the bench.
Suddenly, something magical happened. A tiny glow appeared near the garden. Sparkle's gravestone began to shake, and out popped Sparkle! But she wasn't just a goldfish anymore—she was a magical ZOMBIE goldfish, glowing with rainbow colors and wearing a tiny baseball cap!
"Leo!" Sparkle said in a bubbly voice. "I'm back because friendship is stronger than anything! And I learned how to help you win your baseball game!"
Leo couldn't believe his eyes. His zombie goldfish friend swam through the air toward him.
"Watch this!" Sparkle said, diving toward the baseball field.
When Leo stepped up to bat, Sparkle swam around the bat, leaving a trail of sparkles. The baseball pitcher threw the ball, and Leo saw everything in slow motion. He could see exactly where to swing.
CRACK! The ball sailed over the fence—a home run!
The whole team cheered, but only Leo could see Sparkle doing victory flips in the air.
After the game, Leo's coach said, "Leo, you hit like magic today!"
Leo smiled, petting his invisible zombie goldfish friend. "I had a little help from a friend who taught me that love never really dies. It just comes back in magical ways."
That night, Leo placed a tiny baseball trophy next to Sparkle's bowl. The zombie goldfish swam around it happily, her rainbow scales glowing in the moonlight. They both knew that with friendship and a little bit of magic, anything was possible—even a zombie goldfish who loved baseball.
