The Zombie Garden's Magic Fruit

Lily loved helping her grandmother in the garden, but today something strange was happening. The **spinach** leaves were glowing with a soft green light, and the **papaya** tree had started to dance!

"Grandma! Come quick!" Lily called, **running** through the garden path. Her grandmother chuckled as she watched the papaya tree wiggle its branches.

"It's the magic of the midnight garden, little one," Grandma explained. "But something's wrong. Look at that old scarecrow."

Lily gasped. The scarecrow was moving! But it wasn't scary like the ones in movies. This **zombie** scarecrow had a friendly smile and was trying to fix the broken fence.

"He's not a monster," Lily whispered. "He's helpful!"

Suddenly, dark clouds gathered overhead. A bolt of **lightning** struck the center of the garden, and a sparkle drifted down like glittering snow. The zombie scarecrow caught it in his straw hand.

"Thank you," he croaked gently. "The lightning gave me back my voice. I was once the gardener here, before the storm."

Lily's eyes widened. "You need the magical fruits to become fully human again!"

Together, they harvested the glowing spinach and the dancing papaya. Grandma made a special salad, and when the zombie gardener ate it, magic sparkled around him like fireflies. His straw turned to skin, and his button eyes became real ones.

"Thank you all," he said, hugging them. "Sometimes things that seem scary just need a little kindness—and perhaps some magical vegetables."

From that day on, Lily learned that appearances can be deceiving, and even the most unusual friends might need is a chance to show their true selves.
