The Zombie Friend's Magic Hair
Lily found the old box in her grandmother's attic. Inside was a small wooden figure with messy green yarn hair and a painted smile that looked a little silly. 'It's a zombie,' Grandma explained. 'But not the scary kind. This is Zombi, the friend-maker.' Lily didn't understand. How could a wooden zombie be a friend-maker? That night, under the full moon's glow, Zombi came to life! His green yarn hair started glowing and growing longer, twisting into magical shapes. 'Follow me!' Zombi squeaked in a tiny, friendly voice. Outside in the garden, Zombi's hair wove itself into a shimmering pyramid of light. Inside the pyramid, Lily could see beautiful memories: children playing, friends laughing, people helping each other. 'My hair shows the magic of friendship,' Zombi said proudly. 'Every true friend adds a strand to the pyramid.' But then Lily saw something sad — her new neighbor, Max, sitting alone in his yard, looking lonely. 'Max has no friends,' Lily whispered. Zombi nodded. 'That's why I'm here. Let's be his friend.' Together, they brought Max into the magical pyramid. Zombi's hair spun new stories of adventure and laughter. Max's eyes lit up with wonder. That week, Lily, Max, and Zombi had the most amazing adventures. They built forts, had picnics, and even created a zombie dance that made everyone laugh. On the last day, Zombi's hair wove one final gift — a tiny golden pyramid for each of them. 'True friends never leave,' Zombi whispered, 'they just become part of your heart.' Lily understood now. The zombie wasn't scary at all — he was magical. And friendship? It was the greatest magic of all.
