The Zombie Bull's Secret Friend

Lila loved to explore the magical forest behind her house. Her wild, curly hair bounced as she skipped along the mossy path, following a trail of sparkling dust.

One afternoon, she heard a strange snort. Behind a giant palm tree sat the saddest creature she'd ever seen. It looked like a zombie bull — with patchy fur, one crooked horn, and eyes that seemed half-asleep. But Lila wasn't afraid.

"Hello," she whispered, opening her palm to show him a wildflower she'd picked.

The zombie bull blinked. His name was Barnaby, and he wasn't scary at all. A grumpy wizard had cast a sleepiness spell on him, making him shuffle like a zombie. He just needed a friend to wake him up.

Lila sat beside him, brushing his tangled hair with her fingers. She told him stories about the stars, about her dreams, about the treasure she'd found in the creek. With each word, Barnaby's eyes grew brighter.

"Will you be my friend?" Lila asked.

Barnaby nodded, and the spell began to crack. His patchy fur turned golden and soft. His crooked horn straightened into something majestic. Most wonderfully, his sleepy eyes twinkled like morning dew.

"Friend," Barnaby rumbled, and magic burst from his horn like fireworks.

The zombie bull was gone. In his place stood a magnificent golden bull with wings of butterfly wings! He nuzzled Lila's cheek, and she knew she'd found something better than treasure — a true friend who needed her as much as she needed him.

Together they soared through the clouds, Lila's hair streaming behind them like a banner of joy, proving that kindness is the most powerful magic of all.
