The Zombie Bull's Secret

bullzombiehairfriend

In the sunniest corner of Miller's Farm, there lived a bull named Barnaby who never moved. All day long, he stood completely still, his eyes half-closed, like he was sleepwalking. The other cows called him the zombie bull because he seemed to be in a trance.

Lily was different. The seven-year-old girl with curly brown hair always wondered about Barnaby. While other children ran away from the spooky-looking bull, she wanted to understand him.

One magical afternoon, Lily tiptoed to the fence. "Hello?" she whispered.

Barnaby's ear twitched.

"Everyone thinks you're a zombie," Lily said softly. "But I think you're just lonely."

Barnaby's eyes opened wide, sparkling like morning dew. "You can see me?" he rumbled in surprise.

Lily gasped. "You can talk!"

"Only to someone who truly looks," Barnaby explained. "I'm not a zombie, little friend. I'm a Dream Bull. When I stand still like that, I'm visiting magical worlds in my mind. Would you like to see?"

He lowered his massive head, and Lily noticed something strange. The messy hair between his horns was glowing!

She touched it gently.

WHOOSH!

Suddenly, they weren't in the farm anymore. They stood in a meadow made of cotton candy, where rainbow butterflies danced and flowers sang lullabies. Everything felt warm and wonderful.

"This is where I go when everyone thinks I'm sleeping," Barnaby said proudly. "I've been waiting for a friend to share it with."

They spent what felt like hours exploring Candy Mountain and riding on shooting stars.

When they returned to the farm, the other cows gathered around, amazed at Barnaby's sudden energy. For the first time, the zombie bull wasn't still at all – he was galloping joyfully, his hair still shimmering with magic.

Lily learned something important that day: things that seem strange or scary might just be wonderful secrets waiting for the right friend to discover them.

And Barnaby? He finally had someone to share his magic with.

From then on, Lily visited every afternoon. And the zombie bull? Well, he was never a zombie at all – just magical, misunderstood, and waiting for a friend.
