The Zombie Bull's Magical Baseball
Tommy loved baseball more than anything. Every day after school, he would grab his worn-out glove and run to the park, dreaming of hitting the perfect home run.
One sunny afternoon, Tommy threw his baseball extra hard. It soared over the trees and disappeared into a mysterious purple fog. Without thinking, Tommy went running after it.
The fog cleared, and Tommy gasped. Before him stood a golden pyramid that sparkled like diamonds in the sunlight. But the most amazing surprise was at the base of the pyramid.
A large, friendly bull with a spotted coat was playing catch with a green zombie! But this wasn't a scary zombie like in movies — he wore a colorful baseball cap and had the kindest smile Tommy had ever seen.
"Welcome!" called the zombie, whose name turned out to be Zed. "This is the Pyramid of Magical Games. Would you like to play baseball with us?"
Barnaby the bull nodded enthusiastically. His big brown eyes twinkled with joy.
Tommy couldn't believe his luck! They played the most wonderful game. Zed might have moved a bit slowly, but he could catch any ball. Barnaby could hit the baseball so high it almost touched the clouds.
"The secret," Zed told Tommy, "is that magic happens when friends play together. Your imagination makes everything more fun."
When it was time to go home, Zed handed Tommy a sparkling golden baseball. "Whenever you play with this, remember: true friends come in all shapes and sizes."
Tommy ran back through the fog, the golden baseball in his hand. From that day on, every time he played baseball, he imagined Zed and Barnaby cheering for him. And you know what? He became the best player on his team — not because of the magic baseball, but because he played with joy in his heart, just like his extraordinary new friends.
