The Zombie Bear's Padel Game

Lily loved her teddy bear more than anything in the world. His name was Bernardo, and he had soft brown fur and a bright red ribbon around his neck. Every night, Bernardo slept beside her, keeping away the bad dreams.

One sunny afternoon, Lily found something strange in her garage – an old padel racquet gathering dust in the corner. "What's this?" she wondered, picking it up. The racquet felt warm in her hands, almost like it was magic!

That evening, Lily couldn't wait to show Bernardo her discovery. But when she looked at her bed, Bernardo was missing! She searched everywhere – under the bed, in the closet, even in her toy chest. No Bernardo.

Tears filled her eyes as she looked out the window. And there, glowing in the moonlight, was the old padel court behind her house. Someone was playing!

Lily ran outside in her pajamas. On the court stood a strange creature – it looked like a zombie, with greenish skin and tattered clothes. But this zombie wasn't scary at all. It was hitting a ball back and forth with... Bernardo!

Bernardo had come to life! He was wearing a tiny headband and swinging a mini racquet with his fuzzy paws.

"Bernardo!" Lily cried out.

The zombie jumped, looking nervous. But Bernardo padded over to Lily and wrapped her in a big fuzzy hug.

"I'm sorry I scared you," the zombie said softly. "My name is Zed. I've been lonely for so long. I found your bear and asked if he wanted to play padel. We were having such fun!"

Lily looked at Zed. He didn't look scary anymore – he just looked like someone who needed a friend.

"Can we play too?" Lily asked, holding up her magic racquet.

And so they did – Lily, Bernardo the bear, and Zed the zombie, playing padel together under the stars. Zed wasn't a zombie anymore – he was just Zed, their friend. And every night after that, the three of them would meet at the padel court for magical midnight games.

Lily learned that sometimes the scariest things just turn out to be the best friends you've never met.
