The Zombie Bear's Magical Beach Party

Lily traced the lines on her palm, just like Grandma taught her. "Cross my palm with magic," she whispered, pressing her hand against the old oak tree.

Nothing happened. Lily sighed and kicked at a pebble. Grandma said the magic worked best at the beach, under the full moon.

That night, Lily grabbed her teddy bear and stuffed toy bull. "We're going on an adventure," she told them.

The beach was quiet, waves singing shhh-shhh against the sand.

"Lovely weather," said a deep voice.

Lily jumped. Her teddy bear was stretching! He blinked button eyes and yawned.

The toy bull trotted over, snorting. "About time you woke us up!"

"Grandma's magic!" Lily clapped.

But a shadow stumbled from the dunes—a zombie! His green skin glowed in moonlight.

Lily trembled. The bear hugged her. "That's just Zed. He's friendly."

"Water!" Zed cheered, dancing stiff-legged toward the waves.

"He loves parties," the bull explained.

A palm tree leaned over, coconuts rattling like maracas. Its fronds waved to Zed's jerky rhythm.

"Party on the beach!" The bear splashed into the water. The bull charged joyfully through foam. Zed spun like a top, arms flailing.

Even the palm tree swayed, dropping sweet coconuts for them to share.

Lily laughed until her sides hurt, dancing between moonlight and starlight with her magical friends.

At dawn, the bear whispered, "Magic lives wherever you believe."

Lily hugged them tight. They were toys again—soft and still. But in her palm, she felt warmth. A small coconut rested there.

Grandma's magic wasn't just in trees. It was in believing anything could dance, if you imagined with all your heart.

Every full moon, Lily returns to the beach. Sometimes she sees them—a stiff zombie jiggle, a toy bull charge through waves, a bear waltzing under the palm tree's light.

And always, always, she believes.
