The Zombie Baseball's Magical Splash

Leo loved playing baseball in his backyard. Every sunny afternoon, he'd pitch his favorite ball to his dog, Buster, who would chase it with his tail wagging so hard it looked like a helicopter propeller. Buster wasn't very good at catching, but he was excellent at being adorable.

One Saturday, Leo noticed something strange. His baseball was moving across the grass all by itself, wobbling like a zombie! Not a scary zombie—just a silly, sleepy one that had forgotten how to roll properly. Leo giggled.

"That's the weirdest thing ever!" he said, pulling out his iPhone to take a video. The zombie baseball seemed to want something. It wobbled toward the swimming pool in the neighbor's yard.

Buster barked excitedly and followed the magical ball. Leo and his mom (who always supervised swimming time) went next door to visit Mrs. Jenkins, who had the best pool on the block.

"The zombie baseball wants to go swimming!" Leo laughed as the ball hopped right into the cool blue water with a cheerful SPLASH!

Mrs. Jenkins smiled. "Well, every baseball needs a vacation sometimes."

That afternoon, Leo and Buster went swimming, and Leo discovered his baseball could float! The zombie ball wasn't scary at all—it was just a regular ball that had rolled across a bumpy lawn and wanted to make new friends.

Leo learned something magical that day: Sometimes things seem strange or different at first, but that doesn't mean they're bad. The zombie ball wasn't a monster—it was just his favorite baseball wanting to try something new.

That night, Leo fell asleep dreaming of zombie baseballs doing cannonballs into chocolate pudding pools. Buster dreamed of catching every single one of them, especially if they tasted like dog treats.
