The Zombie and the Vitamin Tree

Once there was a little zombie named Zee who lived in the Whispering Woods. Zee wasn't scary at all—he just had green skin and messy blue hair that always stuck up in crazy directions. All the other zombies kept their hair perfectly neat, but no matter what Zee did, his hair had a mind of its own.

One magical morning, Zee woke up to find something glowing in the palm of his hand. It was a tiny orange seed, shimmering like a little piece of sunshine. A fairy appeared and told him this was no ordinary seed—it grew the legendary Vitamin Tree, whose magical fruit could spread kindness and joy throughout the entire forest.

Zee planted the seed with great care. He watered it every day. He sang to it. He even read it bedtime stories. But week after week, nothing happened. The little patch of soil remained empty.

Then a girl named Penny stumbled into the woods. She had bright orange hair that shone like the most beautiful sunset, and when she saw Zee crying over his empty pot, she asked what was wrong.

"I can't make my Vitamin Tree grow," Zee sniffled. "I need it so I can help everyone be happy."

Penny smiled and pointed to three sad, drooping saplings nearby. "Maybe you're supposed to help them first."

Zee wasn't sure, but he trusted Penny. So he watered the saplings. He sang to them. He shared his lunch with them. And as he cared for those little trees, something wonderful happened—a single tear of happiness rolled down his cheek and splashed onto his own pot.

WHOOSH! The Vitamin Tree burst from the soil, growing instantly taller than Zee. Its branches hung heavy with glowing golden oranges that smelled like sunshine and dreams.

Zee finally understood—the true magic wasn't in the fruit at all. The real vitamin was LOVE itself, and it had been inside his kind heart all along.

From that day on, Zee shared his magical oranges with every creature in the Whispering Woods. And his wild, messy hair? Well, he never did manage to tame it—but he didn't mind anymore. Because Zee had learned something far more important: true beauty doesn't come from looking perfect. True beauty comes from being perfectly kind.
