The Water Bull's Magic Pool
Lily loved exploring the woods behind her house. One hot summer afternoon, she discovered a secret path she'd never noticed before. It wound through tall trees and led to a sparkling pool of water so clear it looked like liquid glass.
The water glowed with a soft blue light, and rainbow fish darted through its depths. Lily knelt to touch the surface when she heard a gentle splash. Up rose the most amazing creature she'd ever seen.
It was a bull, but not like any farm animal. His fur shimmered like pearls, and his magnificent hair flowed like a silver waterfall down his back. Two spiraling horns gleamed with tiny stars that twinkled in the daylight.
"Hello, little friend," the bull spoke in a voice like river pebbles tumbling together. "I've waited many years for someone kind to find my pool."
Lily wasn't afraid. "I'm Lily. What's your name?"
"I am Orion, keeper of the Magic Pool. This water grants one wish to those with pure hearts. But you must choose wisely."
Lily thought carefully. She could wish for anything—toys, adventures, treasures. But she remembered how lonely she felt sometimes, and how Orion had waited so long for a friend.
"I wish," Lily said slowly, "that you could leave your pool and explore the world with me. We could be friends and have adventures together."
Orion's eyes filled with starry tears of joy. The pool bubbled and sparkled brighter than ever. suddenly, Orion stepped from the water, his pearl fur drying to a gentle glow.
"You've wished for friendship instead of riches," Orion said. "That is the wisest wish of all."
And so Lily and Orion became the best of friends, exploring magical forests, swimming in secret pools, and sharing wonderful adventures. Orion taught Lily about the magic of nature, and Lily taught Orion about the joy of friendship.
The moral? Sometimes the greatest treasure isn't gold or wishes—it's the friends we make along the way.
