The Vitamins of Wonder
Leo found the bottle in the back of his grandmother's cabinet. It was made of sparkling glass, and the label read: WONDER VITAMINS – For Extraordinary Adventures.
"Take one," his grandmother whispered with a wink. "But only if you're ready for magic."
Leo swallowed one vitamin with his breakfast. It tasted like strawberries and sunshine. That's when the magic began.
His hair started to shimmer. Not just shine—really shimmer, like it was filled with tiny stars. The shimmering grew brighter and brighter until it glowed like a lantern.
"Follow your hair, Leo!" his grandmother called.
He did. The glowing hair pulled him toward the park, where something amazing was happening. The pond wasn't just water anymore—it was swirling with rainbow colors. And suddenly, Leo found himself swimming through the air itself, gliding above the ground as if the air had become water.
Below him, children were gathering for a baseball game. But this wasn't any ordinary game. When they threw the ball, it burst into sparkles. When they ran bases, they left trails of flowers behind.
"Come play!" a girl named Maya called. Her hair was shimmering too.
Leo realized she had taken a wonder vitamin as well. They swam through the air together, chasing magical baseballs that giggled when they were caught. The game lasted until sunset, when the vitamins' magic began to fade.
"Will we be able to do this again?" Leo asked.
His grandmother smiled. "The magic was always inside you. The vitamins just helped you see it."
Leo touched his hair. It wasn't shimmering anymore, but he knew the wonder would return whenever he believed in magic.
That night, he dreamed of swimming among stars, playing baseball with comets, and vitamins that weren't just vitamins—they were doorways to extraordinary adventures waiting to be discovered by anyone brave enough to believe.
