The Tiny Friend in the Phone

Lily loved her iphone more than anything. She spent hours playing games and watching videos, never looking up at the world outside.

One day, her screen flickered. A tiny face appeared—not in a video, but INSIDE the glass!

"Hello!" squeaked the tiny creature. "I'm Pip! I'm a Vitamin Spirit from the Sunshine Kingdom!"

Lily rubbed her eyes. "A what?"

"A Vitamin Spirit! We give children energy and happiness," Pip explained. "But I'm stuck! The last child who held this phone never went outside, so my magic faded. I need your help!"

"How?" Lily asked.

"You must go running outside! Each step collects sunshine-vitamins. When you gather enough, I can return home!"

Lily had never gone running before. But Pip looked so worried...

She stepped outside. The sun warmed her face. She began to run.

*Step, step, PUFF.*

*Step, step, PUFF.*

At first, Lily felt tired. But then something magical happened. Sparkling golden lights began floating around her!

"They're sunshine-vitamins!" Pip cheered from her pocket. "Keep running, friend!"

Lily smiled. No one had called her "friend" in a long time. She ran faster, collecting more sparkles. She waved to neighbors. She chased butterflies. She discovered a park she'd never noticed before.

Soon, Pip was glowing brightly. "You did it!" Pip exclaimed. "I can go home now! But you gave me something better than magic—you gave me a true friend!"

"Will you forget me?" Lily asked.

"Never," Pip promised. "Look for me in rainbows and morning sunshine. And remember—real magic isn't in screens. It's out here, with friends!"

Pip floated away in a shower of golden sparkles.

Lily still had her iphone, but now she used it mostly to call her real friends—ones she met while running, playing, and exploring the magical world outside her door.

And sometimes, when the sun was just right, she'd see a tiny sparkle dancing nearby, whispering: "Keep running, friend!"
