The Tiny Bull's Sunny Day Game

Leo loved the old swimming pool behind his house. It hadn't held water in years, but it was perfect for imagining adventures. One Saturday morning, while practicing his baseball swing, Leo heard a tiny snort from the pool's deep end.

Curled up on a dry leaf was the smallest bull he'd ever seen—no bigger than a baseball! The tiny bull had golden fur that shimmered in the sunlight and kind, knowing eyes.

"Hello there," Leo whispered, lowering himself onto his stomach.

The little bull stood up and nudged Leo's finger with his wet nose. "I'm Barnaby," the bull said, his voice like distant thunder. "I've been waiting for someone with a big imagination."

Leo couldn't believe it—a talking bull!

Barnaby explained that he was a magical creature who needed special sunshine to grow. Not just any sunshine, but the kind found inside friendship and fun. "That's why I need your help," Barnaby said. "Will you play baseball with me?"

Leo's eyes widened. "But you're so small!"

Barnaby grinned. "That's the magic part. When I'm near a true friend, I can grow to just the right size."

And so they played. Leo rolled his baseball across the pool's concrete bottom, and Barnaby trotted after it, growing with every happy moment. Soon, the bull was the perfect size for a game of catch.

They played until Leo's mother called him for lunch. "Time for your vitamin," she called out.

Leo invited Barnaby to join them. His mom's eyes went wide when she saw the gentle bull drinking from the water bowl on their porch.

"Everyone needs vitamins to grow strong," she explained, setting out carrots and apples alongside Leo's lunch. "Even magical bulls need goodness from the earth."

Barnaby munched happily. "Friendship is the best vitamin of all," he said between bites.

That afternoon, Leo realized the old swimming pool wasn't just an empty space—it was where magic began. And the tiny bull with the golden fur taught him that the best adventures come from opening your heart to the unexpected.

Every summer day after that, Leo and Barnaby played baseball in the pool, their laughter floating on the warm air like butterfly wings. Some magic, Leo discovered, doesn't disappear with the setting sun. It stays in your heart forever, growing stronger with every friend you make.
