The Tiny Bull of Palm Tree Lane

Lily loved her grandmother's house, especially the giant palm tree that swayed in the backyard breeze. Every summer, she'd press her palm against its rough bark and whisper secrets to the leaves.

One hot afternoon, while examining the palm's fallen fronds, Lily noticed something peculiar. A tiny bull, no bigger than her thumb, was sleeping curled inside a curved palm leaf! His coat was the color of sunshine, and his horns were made of twisted silver.

"Hello?" Lily whispered, careful not to startle him.

The tiny bull stretched and opened eyes the color of ocean waves. "Hello, Lily. I've been waiting for someone to notice me. I'm Pip."

Lily gasped. "You can talk? And you know my name?"

Pip nodded. "Magic bulls always know their friends' names."

From that day on, Pip became Lily's secret friend. At night, when everyone slept, Pip would grow big enough to carry Lily on his back. Together they'd explore magical worlds hidden behind the stars — kingdoms made of candy floss, forests where trees sang lullabies, and oceans where fish told jokes.

"Why do you live in a palm leaf?" Lily asked one moonlit night.

"Because palm trees remember everything," Pip explained. "They keep old stories safe in their leaves, and I'm the keeper of these stories. When you're ready, I'll show you the most important story of all."

On Lily's last day, Pip led her deep into the palm tree's heart. There, glowing softly, was her own story — every adventure, every laugh, every wish. "The palm tree kept all our memories safe," Pip said.

Lily realized something important: true friends stay with you always, even when you're apart. Their memories live on, protected by magic.

Before leaving, Lily pressed her palm against the tree one last time. "I'll never forget you, Pip."

"And I'll never forget you, my friend," the tiny bull replied, already curling back into his palm leaf home. "Remember, adventure is just around the corner — you just have to notice it."
