The Tiny Bull of Palm Pool

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's backyard, especially the old palm tree that stood like a friendly giant. One hot afternoon, she noticed something shimmering in the tree's shade—a pool no bigger than a dinner plate, glowing with soft blue light.

She knelt down and gasped. Inside the tiny pool lived a bull the size of her thumb! But this wasn't a scary bull. His fur was golden like sunshine, his eyes sparkled like stars, and when he saw Lily, he smiled.

"Hello!" said the bull. "I'm Barnaby! Want to play padel?" From behind a small flower, he pulled out two miniature racquets and a ball.

Lily giggled with delight. "But how? You're so tiny!"

"Magic!" Barnaby winked. "And imagination!"

They played the most wonderful game of padel right there beside the palm tree. Barnaby was amazing—he could hit the ball while jumping off leaves! Lily had to be careful not to squash him, but they laughed and played until sunset painted the sky orange and pink.

"I have to go now," Barnaby said as the first stars appeared. "But come back tomorrow!"

Every day that week, Lily returned to play with her tiny friend. They learned that friendship comes in all sizes, and that magic lives wherever you look for it. When other kids asked why she spent so much time by the old palm tree, Lily just smiled.

"Some things," she said wisely, "are too special to explain."

And deep in her palm, she could still feel the warm, magical glow of Barnaby's friendship, reminding her that the best adventures are the ones you share—no matter how big or small you are.
