The Thunder Dog's Magic Cable

In a tiny village where clouds peeked through bedroom windows, there lived a golden dog named Thunder. Though he was small—barely bigger than a loaf of bread—Thunder had the biggest heart in all of Misty Mountain.

Every evening, Thunder would watch the old cable car sway gently in the breeze, carrying lucky travelers up and down the mountain. His dream was to ride it, but his owner, kind Mrs. Higgins, always said he was too little.

One stormy night, while lightning danced across the sky like glowing ribbons, Thunder heard a sad sound coming from the forest. His ears perked up. Someone was crying!

Thunder followed the sound through the rain until he found a giant bear huddled beneath a pine tree, trembling with fear.

"The lightning is too bright!" the bear whimpered. "I'm Bernardo, and I've been scared of storms my whole life."

Thunder's heart went out to the big bear. He may have been small, but he knew about courage.

"Would you like to see something magical?" Thunder asked. "Follow me!"

Bernardo followed Thunder through the storm until they reached the cable car station. The old cable car waited there, rocking in the wind like a friendly boat.

"Watch this," Thunder said bravely. Just then, a bolt of lightning struck the mountaintop. Instead of being scary, the lightning made the whole cable car glow with beautiful rainbow colors!

"The lightning is painting the cable car with colors!" Bernardo gasped. For the first time in his life, the big bear smiled at a storm.

Thunder and Bernardo rode the cable car together all night, watching the lightning turn into beautiful pictures of stars, moons, and mountain flowers. By morning, Bernardo wasn't afraid anymore.

"Thank you, Thunder," Bernardo said, giving the small dog a gentle nuzzle. "You taught me that being brave doesn't mean you're not scared. It means you find a friend who helps you see the magic."

And from that day on, every time lightning flashed across Misty Mountain, Thunder and Bernardo would ride the cable car together, turning scary storms into the most beautiful adventures of all.
