The Super Green Sprint

Lily hated green vegetables. Until the day she found something magical in her grandmother's garden.

"What's this?" Lily asked, staring at a glowing spinach leaf that shimmered like an emerald.

Grandma smiled, her eyes twinkling. "That's sunshine spinach, dear. It holds a special vitamin—one that gives you the power to help others."

Lily was skeptical. But when she nibbled the leaf, something amazing happened. Her legs felt light as feathers. Her heart filled with warmth, like drinking hot cocoa on a snowy day.

Then she heard it—a tiny sniffle from behind the oak tree.

A baby rabbit was stuck in a briar patch, its foot caught between thorns. The mother rabbit hopped around frantically, unable to help.

Lily knew what she had to do. She started running—faster than she'd ever run before. The vitamin from the spinach surged through her, making her feet barely touch the grass. She zipped past the garden gate, flew around the pond, and reached the rabbit in seconds.

Carefully, she untangled the baby rabbit's foot. The thorns had barely scratched it.

"Thank you!" the mother rabbit seemed to say, nuzzling Lily's ankle.

Grandma appeared beside her. "The magic vitamin only works when you use it to help others, Lily. That's its secret."

Lily looked at her grandmother's garden with new eyes. Maybe spinach wasn't so bad after all—especially when it came from a garden where love grew alongside the vegetables.

That night, Lily ate all her spinach at dinner. Who knew what adventures tomorrow might bring?

The end.
