The Sun Vitamin Treasure
Lily loved exploring her grandmother's dusty attic. On rainy afternoons, she'd search through old trunks and boxes, discovering forgotten treasures. But nothing prepared her for what she found behind a stack of ancient books.
A tiny golden pyramid sat on a velvet cushion, no bigger than her thumb. When Lily picked it up, it began to glow, and suddenly she wasn't in the attic anymore.
She stood in a magical desert under a purple sky. Before her rose a magnificent pyramid made of crystal, and beside it sat a sphinx with emerald eyes and fur that shimmered like starlight.
"Welcome, young explorer," the sphinx purred gently. "I've been waiting for someone with a curious heart."
Lily wasn't scared. The sphinx looked kind, like a giant cat who needed a friend. "Who are you?"
"I am Samara, guardian of the Sun Vitamin Temple," the sphinx explained. "Inside this pyramid flows the most powerful vitamin in all the universe—the Vitamin of Wonder. It gives children the power to see magic everywhere."
Lily's eyes widened. "But why do you need me?"
Samara sighed, and her emerald eyes dimmed. "The Vitamin of Wonder is running low. Children stopped believing in magic, stopped looking for it. The pyramid needs new wonder to keep shining."
"How can I help?" Lily asked eagerly.
"Simply by sharing what you wonder about," Samara said. "Tell me something that fills you with curiosity and joy."
Lily thought hard. "I wonder how fireflies know when to glow. I wonder where the moon goes during the day. I wonder why kittens purr. I wonder if clouds taste like cotton candy."
As she spoke, the crystal pyramid began to glow brighter and brighter. Golden light streamed out, flowing into Samara's fur until she sparkled like sunshine itself.
"Yes!" Samara purred delightedly. "Your wonder is restoring the Vitamin of Wonder!"
Lily felt warmth spread through her chest, like drinking hot cocoa on a snowy day. "Does this mean other children will see magic too?"
"Indeed," Samara said. "And you, Lily, now carry extra Vitamin of Wonder in your heart. Whenever you need it, just remember to stay curious."
Lily hugged the sphinx's soft neck. "I'll never stop wondering. I promise."
When she opened her eyes, she was back in the attic, holding the tiny golden pyramid. It still glowed faintly, and from that day on, Lily noticed magic everywhere—in rainbows after storms, in dandelions growing through sidewalks, in the way her grandmother's cookies smelled like love.
She kept the pyramid on her nightstand, a reminder that as long as she stayed curious, wonder would never run out.
