The Sun-Bear's Star School

In the highest branch of the oldest oak tree lived a tiny bear named Barnaby. But Barnaby wasn't just any bear—his fur shimmered like spun gold, and his paws left tiny sparkly footprints wherever he walked. Barnaby was a Sun-Bear, and his very important job was collecting sunshine vitamins.

Every morning at dawn, Barnaby would scamper to the meadow with his special glass jar. He'd catch the first golden rays of sunrise, each glowing beam holding a precious vitamin from the sun. These weren't ordinary vitamins like the ones in orange juice. These were magic sunshine vitamins that made anything shine brighter and feel braver.

One cloudy morning, Barnaby heard sniffles coming from above. He looked up to see a little star dangling from a cloud, its light flickering sadly.

"I'm afraid of falling," the little star wept. "All the other stars know how to swim through the night sky, but I keep sinking."

Barnaby's heart warmed. He knew exactly what to do. "I have something that might help!"

He opened his jar and sprinkled three shimmering sunshine vitamins onto the little star. POOF! The star's glow doubled, twinkling with new confidence.

"Now," said Barnaby, "the sky is just like a big, beautiful pool. Think happy thoughts and kick your sparkly feet!"

The little star took a deep breath and pushed off the cloud. To its amazement, it didn't sink—it began swimming! Gliding through the purple twilight, doing sparkly somersaults past the moon.

"Thank you, Barnaby!" the star called back, now glowing brighter than ever. "I'm not afraid anymore!"

That night, Barnaby watched proudly as his new friend swam gracefully across the heavens, leaving a trail of stardust wherever it went. And from that day on, Barnaby made sure every star had enough sunshine vitamins to swim bravely through the dark.

For when you share your light with others, everyone learns to shine.
