The Storm that Made Friends

Lily found something strange in the forest. It was a shiny black rectangle, smooth as a river stone. She tapped the screen and it glowed with pictures of stars and clouds.

"What is this thing?" she wondered.

Behind her, branches rustled. A great brown bear lumbered out, his nose twitching. But he didn't seem scary at all. He looked curious.

"That's my iPhone," said a voice from above. Lily looked up to see a golden bull standing on the hillside, his horns catching the afternoon sun.

"Your... what?" Lily asked.

"It's a magic window," said the bull, stepping carefully down. "My friend the storm giant dropped it. It lets us see places far away. We use it to find the juiciest berries and the safest paths."

The bear nodded and grunted happily.

Suddenly, the sky turned dark. Storm clouds gathered fast. CRACK! Lightning flashed, illuminating three faces — one curious girl, one gentle bear, one golden bull.

"The storm giant is calling!" the bull cried. "He needs his iPhone back! But the bridge is washed out!"

Lily looked at the bear, then at the bull. "I have an idea!"

The bear was big and strong. The bull was sure-footed and brave. And Lily had the magic glowing window.

"Show us the way," Lily said to the iPhone. The screen lit up with a glowing path through the forest.

The bear carried Lily on his shoulders. The bull guided them through the mud. And when lightning flashed again, they saw the storm giant waiting on the other side of the ravine, sad and lonely.

"I missed my magic window," the giant rumbled.

Lily climbed down from the bear's shoulders. "We brought it back!"

The storm giant smiled, and something wonderful happened. The lightning stopped flashing and started dancing — beautiful golden lights that swirled around them, making sparkles in the air.

"You three worked together," the giant said. "And that's the strongest magic of all."

From that day on, whenever Lily visited the forest, the bear would bring her honeycomb, the bull would show her secret meadows full of flowers, and sometimes — just sometimes — the storm giant would make the lightning dance just for them.

Because the best magic isn't in glowing screens. It's in friendship.
