The Storm's Magical Gift

Lily loved storms. While other children hid under blankets when thunder rumbled, she pressed her nose against the window, watching the sky dance with brilliant flashes of **lightning**.

One rainy afternoon, Lily sat on her porch watching the rain create rivers in the garden. A tiny raindrop named Splash landed on her nose.

"Come play!" Splash seemed to say, sliding down her cheek like a ticklish feather.

Lily laughed and ran outside, skipping through puddles. She discovered a stray kitten shivering near a **papaya** tree, its fur matted with rain.

"Don't worry, little friend," Lily whispered, wrapping the kitten in her dry sweater.

Inside the house, Lily's grandmother smiled. "This kitten needs something special to grow strong." She handed Lily a bright **orange** from the fruit bowl. "Oranges are full of sunshine and **vitamin** goodness."

Lily peeled the orange, sharing juicy segments with the kitten. They ate together while **water** drummed a happy song on the roof.

Suddenly, the kitten's eyes widened. A tiny spark of magic swirled around it—golden and warm, like captured sunlight!

"The storm sent you magic!" Lily gasped.

The kitten, now glowing softly, curled up in Lily's lap and purred so loudly that the rain seemed to purr back.

Lily learned that day that storms bring more than rain—they bring unexpected friendships and magical moments. Sometimes the best gifts arrive when the sky is darkest, wrapped in thunder and delivered by lightning.

And that's how Lily found her forever friend, Sparkle the kitten, who still purred with tiny sparks of magic whenever it rained.
