The Storm Game of Sky-Baseball
Ten-year-old Leo loved baseball more than anything. Every afternoon, he'd practice in the park with his friends Mia and Sam, dreaming of hitting the perfect home run.
One cloudy afternoon, just as Leo raised his bat, CRACK! A brilliant bolt of lightning flashed across the sky. But this wasn't ordinary lightning — it was sparkling purple and gold, swirling like a rainbow tornado.
"Whoa!" gasped Mia, dropping her glove.
The magical lightning struck their baseball and suddenly... the ball began to float! Instead of falling to the ground, it drifted upward like a bubble, glowing softly.
"It's floating away!" cried Sam.
Without thinking, Leo jumped to catch it. But as soon as his fingertips grazed the ball, something incredible happened. Leo's feet didn't touch the ground anymore. HE was floating too!
"Leo!" shouted Mia. "You're swimming through the air!"
And she was right! Leo was swimming — doing breast strokes and kicking his legs — gliding through the sky as if it were water. The air felt cool and refreshing, like jumping into a pool on a hot day.
"Come up here! It's amazing!" Leo called down.
Mia and Sam looked at each other, then together they jumped — and soon all three friends were swimming through clouds, chasing the magical baseball.
They played the most wonderful game of sky baseball ever invented. The lightning had created a magical world where dreams came alive. When Leo finally caught the glowing ball, it whispered to him: "True magic happens when friends share adventures together."
As the storm clouds faded, the children gently floated back to the park, the magical baseball now a normal one again. But they knew something had changed.
"Best game ever," said Leo, grinning.
"Next time," said Mia, "let's play sky baseball at night!"
And from that day on, whenever storms approached, the three friends would smile — knowing that somewhere, up in the clouds, magic was waiting for those brave enough to swim through the sky and catch their dreams.
