The Storm Bull's Secret Gift

lightningbullrunning

Lily loved rainy days. While other children hid indoors, she pressed her nose against the window, watching the sky paint itself in gray and purple.

One afternoon, while running through the meadow after school, she saw something extraordinary. A massive bull stood beneath an old oak tree, but he wasn't like any bull she'd seen in books. His fur shimmered like moonlight, and his horns glowed with a gentle golden light.

Lily approached slowly. "Hello?"

The bull turned his massive head. His eyes were kind and sparkled like stars. "Hello, little one," he spoke in a deep, warm voice. "I am Thunderfoot. I bring the lightning that helps the crops grow."

Lily had always heard lightning was scary and dangerous. But Thunderfoot explained that lightning carried magic from the clouds to the earth, waking up sleeping seeds and helping flowers bloom stronger.

"Will you show me?" Lily asked.

Thunderfoot nodded. He pawed the ground, and tiny bolts of lightning danced around his hoofs—harmless and beautiful, like golden ribbons in the air. They floated down to the earth, and where each spark touched, a tiny flower sprouted instantly.

Lily gasped. "That's beautiful!"

From that day on, whenever storms came, Lily would wave at the lightning flashing across the sky, knowing Thunderfoot was helping the garden grow. She learned that things that seem scary might actually be magical and kind.

The children in town soon noticed something wonderful. After every storm, their gardens bloomed brighter than ever. Lily smiled, knowing her friend Thunderfoot had brought his special lightning gifts.

Sometimes the most wonderful discoveries come when we're brave enough to say hello to something we don't understand.
