The Storm Bull's Secret
Milo loved swimming in the ocean, especially during the warm afternoon when the sun painted the water gold. But today, dark clouds gathered like sleepy giants, and the first drops of rain began to fall.
"Time to come home!" his mother called from the beach.
But Milo wasn't ready to leave. As he waded toward shore, something magical happened. A bolt of lightning cracked across the sky, but instead of fading away, it danced and swirled until it became a magnificent bull made entirely of glowing light.
The lightning bull trotted across the water toward Milo, its hooves sparking tiny splashes. It didn't look scary at all — it looked like it needed help.
"Are you lost?" Milo asked, forgetting his fear.
The bull nodded sadly. More lightning struck around them, but these bolts faded into nothing. The beautiful creature lowered its head, and Milo understood: this was the last lightning bull, and without a friend to help it find its way home to the clouds, it would disappear forever.
"Hold onto my tail!" the bull seemed to say without speaking.
Milo grabbed the bull's glowing tail, and together they soared upward, swimming through the air like fish in an invisible sea. The rain felt like tiny kisses on Milo's face as they climbed higher and higher.
Finally, they reached a magical kingdom in the clouds where other lightning creatures played — horses, wolves, even lightning birds! The bull nudged Milo gratefully.
"Thank you, my friend," Milo whispered.
The bull touched its forehead to Milo's, and suddenly Milo understood that storms weren't scary at all — they were just the lightning creatures playing in the sky.
When Milo's feet touched the sand again, he waved to his new friend above. Now whenever storms come, Milo doesn't hide. He watches for the lightning bull and smiles, knowing some things that seem scary are actually just magical friends waiting to be found.
