The Storm Bull's Magical Hat

Toby found the hat in his grandmother's attic. It was purple and sparkly, with a wide brim that flopped when he walked. When he put it on, something magical happened — the world started to glow with colors he'd never seen before.

That's when he met the Great Storm Bull, a magnificent creature with fur like rain clouds and eyes like twinkling stars. The bull appeared right in Toby's backyard during a summer storm.

"I've been waiting for someone to find that hat," the bull rumbled gently. "It belonged to a wizard who could talk to clouds. He lost it fifty years ago."

Toby's eyes widened. "You can talk?"

"Only to those wearing the hat," the bull explained. "My name is Thunder. I create lightning to wake up the seeds sleeping in the ground. Without lightning, spring would never come."

But Thunder looked sad. "I'm lonely. Everyone runs away when they see me."

Toby sat on the grass and patted the bull's giant, fuzzy head. "I won't run away. We can be friends."

Thunder's eyes sparkled brighter than ever. As a thank you, he gave Toby a special gift. Together, they danced through the summer storm as lightning painted beautiful pictures across the sky — horses, butterflies, even Toby's name written in glowing letters.

"You're special, Thunder," Toby said. "Not scary. Special."

From that day on, whenever storms came, Toby would put on his purple hat. He and Thunder would create the most beautiful lightning shows anyone had ever seen. And when people asked about the magical lights, Toby would just smile and tap his hat.

Some nights, if you look closely during a storm, you might see them — a boy in a sparkly purple hat and a magnificent bull with eyes full of stars, dancing among the clouds and painting the sky with friendship's glow.
