The Storm Bull's Magical Game

padelbulllightning

Lila loved playing padel in her backyard, hitting the ball against the old stone wall. But today, dark clouds gathered overhead. Thunder rumbled like a giant's tummy.

CRACK! Lightning flashed purple across the sky.

Lila ran toward the house, but then she saw him — a massive black bull standing in the middle of the padel court. His eyes shone like golden stars. He wasn't scary. He was... waiting.

"Are you lost?" Lila whispered.

The bull shook his magnificent head. He pointed one hoof at the padel racket in Lila's hand, then at the sky. Another bolt of lightning struck — but this time, it didn't hit the ground. It bounced!

The lightning ball zipped through the air, and the bull SMACKED it with his tail. It ricocheted off the stone wall, glowing brighter with every hit.

"Play with me," his eyes seemed to say.

Lila gripped her racket tight. Her heart hammered like rain on a tin roof. This was crazy. But oh, how she wanted to be brave!

She swung at the lightning ball. WHOOSH! Her racket connected, and sparks flew like fireflies. The ball shot across the court, and the bull bounded over to return it.

Back and forth they played — girl and bull, dancing in the rain. The lightning ball turned pink, then blue, then rainbow-colored with each hit. Lila laughed so hard she didn't notice the storm fading.

The bull trotted over and nuzzled her cheek with his wet nose. Then, as the sun peeked through the clouds, he shimmered and faded like mist.

On the ground where he'd stood, a small golden padel ball glowed. Lila picked it up. It felt warm, like a hug from an old friend.

Every storm after that, Lila stood in her yard with her racket. Sometimes the bull came. Sometimes he didn't. But Lila didn't mind. She knew now that courage wasn't about not being scared — it was about playing anyway.

And somewhere, beyond the clouds, a magical bull was waiting for the next game, his tail ready to serve another lightning ball across the sky.
