The Storm Bull's Gift

Maya loved sitting by the stream behind her house, especially on warm afternoons when the sunlight danced on the water like tiny diamonds. One day, while skipping stones, she noticed something peculiar—a magnificent bull with fur that shimmered like storm clouds, drinking from the creek. But this wasn't any ordinary bull. His horns crackled with tiny bolts of lightning that made the air smell like rain.

The bull looked at Maya with wise, gentle eyes.

"I'm thunder-bull," the animal spoke, his voice rumbling like distant storms. "And I need your help."

Maya's eyes widened. "You can talk?"

"Magical creatures can do many things," thunder-bull replied. "I've lost my favorite orange—nothing tastes better after a long journey through the sky. But I dropped it somewhere between the clouds and this stream."

Maya wanted to help, but how could she find something that fell from the sky? Then she remembered—her dad had left his old iphone on the porch yesterday. She grabbed it and discovered something amazing: whenever lightning flashed from the bull's horns, the screen showed glowing orange footprints!

"Follow the magic trail," thunder-bull rumbled happily.

Maya followed the glowing path through meadows and forests, over hills and across babbling brooks. Finally, behind a waterfall, she found it—not just an orange, but a whole grove of orange trees that grew upside down from magical clouds, their roots drinking mist instead of water.

"These oranges grow only where lightning kisses water," thunder-bull explained. "They grant courage to anyone who needs it."

Maya picked the biggest one and shared it with her new friend. The bull gave her a lightning bolt—tiny and warm as a kitten—that lived in a jar on her nightstand, glowing whenever she needed bravery.

Sometimes the best adventures start with helping others, and the sweetest gifts are the ones we share.
