The Starry Pool's Secret
Lily loved exploring the beach, but she'd never found anything like this before. Tangled in the seaweed was an old, thick cable with a glowing blue light pulsing through it like heartbeat.
Curious, she pulled gently. The cable tightened, then something magical happened — the water began to shimmer. A pool appeared right there on the sand, crystal clear and filled with tiny stars that weren't from the sky at all.
"Hello?" Lily called, her voice trembling with excitement.
From the depths of the starry pool emerged the most magnificent creature she'd ever seen — a great bull made of moonlight and stardust. His curved horns gleamed like polished pearls, and his kind eyes held the wisdom of a thousand galaxies.
"I've been waiting for someone like you," the bull said in a voice that rumbled like gentle thunder. "My name is Taurus, guardian of the constellation pool. This cable connects our worlds."
Lily's eyes widened. "You're from the STARS?"
Taurus nodded. "Long ago, children used to visit my pool through this magical cable. But they stopped believing, stopped looking for magic, and so the connection faded. Until today."
He dipped his nose into the glowing water, and ripples of rainbow colors spread outward. "Touch the cable, Lily. Believe."
Lily wrapped both hands around the pulsing cable. Instantly, she felt light — lighter than air, lighter than stardust. The pool became a window, and suddenly she was swimming among constellations, with Taurus guiding her through the velvet darkness.
They played chase with comets and slid down the Milky Way like it was the best playground slide ever invented. But too soon, Taurus nudged her gently.
"Time to go back, brave explorer. But remember — the cable will always glow for those who believe."
Lily woke up on the beach, the mysterious cable gone. But in her pocket glowed a tiny starstone, warm and bright. She knew magic was real, and somewhere among the stars, her friend was waiting.
Every night, Lily looked up at the constellation and waved. And sometimes, just sometimes, the bull twinkled back.
