The Starry Garden Rescue

Maya loved playing in her grandmother's garden, especially near the patch of bright green spinach. Grandma said the spinach leaves sparkled because moonbeams danced on them at night.

One afternoon, Maya discovered something unusual near the spinach plants—a shiny silver device half-buried in the soil. It looked like an iPhone, but it glowed with rainbow colors when she touched it.

"Hello, Maya," the device said in a kind voice. "I'm a StarPhone, and I need your help."

The StarPhone showed Maya a magical picture: a crystal pyramid floating among the stars. Inside the pyramid, two beautiful animals were trapped—a mighty bull made of golden light and a bear of shimmering silver stardust.

"Those are the Bull and Bear Constellations," the StarPhone explained. "They've been captured by the Shadow King. Without them, the night sky has no stories to tell children who look up at the stars."

Maya's heart beat fast. "How can I help?"

"Eat three spinach leaves from this garden," the StarPhone said. "Grandma's spinach gives you the courage to do impossible things."

Maya giggled but plucked three bright green leaves and ate them. Suddenly, she felt lighter than air, stronger than sunshine, and braver than a lion.

The StarPhone projected a beam of light that transformed into a staircase leading up to the sky. Maya climbed higher and higher until she reached the crystal pyramid.

Inside, the golden Bull and silver Bear looked sad. "Thank you for coming," said the Bull in a voice like thunder. "The Shadow King locked us here because children stopped believing in magic."

Maya pressed her hands against the pyramid wall. "I believe in magic!" she shouted. "And I know other children do too!"

The spinach's magic coursed through her. The pyramid began to glow, brighter and brighter, until—CRACK!—the crystal walls shattered into a million pieces of light.

The Bull and Bear bounded free, racing across the sky and taking their places in the constellations. They twinkled with extra brightness that night, sending Maya a message of thanks.

Back in her grandmother's garden, Maya hugged the StarPhone. It had returned to being an ordinary iPhone, but Maya knew better.

That night, children everywhere looked up at the sky and saw the Bull and Bear shining brighter than ever. And Maya smiled, knowing that magic exists in the most unexpected places—even in a garden of spinach.
