The Starry Bull's Orange Pyramid
Lily loved visiting her grandmother's farm, especially the old orange grove at sunset. One evening, while reaching for the perfect fruit, she noticed something shimmering between the trees.
There, nestled among the roots, stood a tiny pyramid made of crystallized orange peels, glowing softly like captured sunshine. But what amazed her most was the creature beside it—a miniature bull no bigger than a kitten, with fur that sparkled like constellations and horns that glowed pale silver.
The bull looked up with eyes like deep space galaxies. "You found my home," he said in a voice like distant bells. "I am Taurus, fallen from the night sky. My pyramid orange-dimension keeps me safe until I can return."
Lily gasped. "You're from the STARS?"
Taurus nodded sadly. "I fell during the Perseid meteor shower. Without starlight, I'll fade away. But an orange infused with true wonder can restore my power."
Lily's hands trembled as she picked the perfect orange. "I wonder about everything," she whispered. "I wonder how ladybugs fly, where clouds go at night, and how bulls ended up in the stars."
The orange in her hands began to glow brighter than any star. Taurus drank its glowing juice and grew—first to dog size, then horse size, until a magnificent bull stood before her, his constellation coat blazing with cosmic fire.
"Climb aboard, Lily," Taurus said. "It's time I showed you where I live."
Together they soared through layers of clouds, past the moon, until the familiar constellation of Taurus appeared in the heavens. Other star-animals greeted them—Ursa Major, Draco, Canis Minor—all fallen stars who found their way home through children's wonder.
"Never stop wondering," Taurus told her as they returned to the orange grove. "Your imagination is the bridge between earth and magic."
That night, Lily fell asleep under stars that seemed brighter than before. In the orange grove, the crystal pyramid still glowed, waiting for the next child whose heart held enough wonder to believe in impossible things.
And sometimes, if you look carefully at the constellation Taurus, you might see him winking, reminding all dreamers that the most magical adventures begin with a single question: "What if?"
