The Starry Bull's Moonlight Swim
Every full moon, Leo would sneak to the old pond behind Grandmother's house. The water turned silver and sparkled like someone had spilled a jar of diamonds. Leo loved swimming in the magical moonlight, gliding through water that felt like liquid silk.
One enchanted evening, something strange happened. As Leo slipped into the shimmering water, a large shape emerged from the willow shadows. A bull! But not like any bull Leo had ever seen. This bull gleamed with a soft golden light, and his eyes held the twinkle of a thousand stars.
"I haven't had a swimming friend in a hundred years," the bull said, his voice warm and rumbly like distant thunder.
Leo's eyes went wide. "You can talk?"
"I can do many things," the bull replied with a gentle smile. "I'm not an ordinary bull. I'm Taurus, fallen from the sky. I've been waiting for someone who believes in magic."
That night, they swam together under the moon. Leo rode on the starry bull's back as they glided through the silver water. The bull showed Leo secret underwater caves filled with glowing crystals and fish that shimmered like tiny stars.
"I miss my home among the constellations," Taurus said sadly. "But I cannot return alone."
Leo hugged the bull's warm neck. "We'll figure it out together. That's what friends do."
Hand in hoof, they climbed the tallest oak tree and reached for the brightest star. The moonbeams wrapped around them, lifting them higher and higher. Taurus grew brighter and brighter until he became pure starlight.
"Thank you, my friend," Taurus called as he joined his constellation. "Look up and I'll always be watching over you."
Now, whenever Leo goes swimming under the stars, he knows his friend is twinkling above. Some say if you look closely at the Taurus constellation, you can see it winking back — especially during a full moon, when a boy and a bull proved that friendship can reach the stars.
And somewhere, deep inside, Leo learned that magic is real for those who believe, and that the best friendships are the ones that help each other shine.
