The Starry Bull's Midnight Run
Leo loved running. Every evening, he would run through the meadow behind his house, his feet tickling the grass, until the stars appeared. One Tuesday, something extraordinary happened.
As Leo caught his breath under the old oak tree, a magnificent bull stepped out from behind the trunk. But this wasn't an ordinary bull—its coat shimmered like starlight, and its gentle eyes held the wisdom of a thousand moons.
"I'm Benny," said the bull, his voice sounding like wind chimes. "And I need your help, Leo."
Leo's eyes widened. "You can talk?"
"On Tuesdays," Benny winked. "Listen closely. The Great Papaya Festival begins at midnight, and I've forgotten the invitation. It's hidden in the Enchanced Orchard, but the gatekeeper only lets in those who answer her riddle while playing padel."
"Padel?" Leo asked. "I've never played!"
"That's why you're perfect," Benny said. "The gatekeeper loves beginners. Their hearts are pure and full of wonder. Will you come with me?"
Leo nodded, and before he could count to three, Benny lowered his starry back. Leo climbed on, and suddenly they were running—faster than Leo had ever run before. Trees blurred into green ribbons. The wind sang a happy song in Leo's ears. They were running through constellations, jumping over clouds!
They arrived at a magnificent orchard filled with glowing papayas in every color of the rainbow. A friendly turtle with sparkles on her shell stood beside a small padel court.
"Welcome!" she said. "I'm Tilly. To enter the festival, you must hit this magical papaya seed back and forth three times without letting it touch the ground."
Leo held the paddle. His hands trembled, but Benny nudged him gently. "You've got this, Leo. Remember how you run every evening? You never give up. This is just like running—one step at a time."
Leo took a deep breath. He hit the seed. It sailed through the air. Tilly hit it back. Leo's heart raced. *One.* Tilly returned it. *Two.* Leo stretched, his paddle extended, and—*three!* They did it!
"Congratulations!" Tilly cheered. "You've shown patience, courage, and friendship. These are the true keys to happiness."
The golden gates opened, and the Great Papaya Festival began. Leo and Benny danced under starlight, ate the most delicious papayas, and made friends with fireflies who told funny jokes.
When morning came, Benny brought Leo home. "Thank you for running with me," the starry bull said. "You taught me something too—sometimes the best adventures happen when we're brave enough to try new things."
Leo fell asleep with a smile, dreaming of papayas, padel, and his new friend Benny, knowing that wonder waits for those who keep running toward it.
