The Starry Bull's Midnight Flight
Lily discovered the purple velvet hat tucked away in her grandmother's attic. It shimmered with an inner light, and when she slipped it over her messy brown hair, sparkles rained down like tiny stars. The hat felt warm, as if it were alive.
Suddenly, the attic walls dissolved into a midnight meadow filled with glowing bluebells. Before Lily stood a magnificent creature — a great white bull with a mane that flowed like liquid silver. His eyes held ancient wisdom, and his hooves left prints of moonlight wherever he stepped.
"You found the Star-Hat," the bull rumbled gently. "I am Taurus, keeper of the constellation. I fell from the sky three nights ago when a storm cloud knocked me from my stars. Without me, children cannot make wishes on my brightest points."
Lily's heart swelled with courage. "How can I help you return?"
"The hat will show you the way," Taurus said. "But first, you must solve three riddles, for only a clever child can restore the heavens."
The riddles were tricky but kind ones — about friendship, kindness, and believing in magic. With each answer, the hat glowed brighter, and Lily's hair floated as if caught in a cosmic breeze.
"You are ready," Taurus knelt before her. "Climb upon my back, and hold tight to my silver mane."
Together they soared upward, through clouds and comet dust. The hat guided them like a compass of light. When they reached the stars, Lily helped Taurus find his place between the Pleiades and Orion. His constellation blazed to life, brighter than ever.
"Thank you, brave friend," Taurus called as the hat began to carry her home. "Remember — whenever you wear the Star-Hat and look to my stars, make a wish. It will come true."
Lily woke in the attic, the purple hat now ordinary velvet. But that night, she sneaked to her window and made her first wish on Taurus's stars. Her hair still sparkled faintly, and somewhere beyond the clouds, a constellation bull twinkled back.
