The Starry Bull's Magic Cable

Lily was exploring the meadow behind her grandmother's farmhouse when she spotted something glinting in the tall grass. It was an iPhone, covered in dew drops like tiny diamonds. Curious, she picked it up, but the screen was dark and wouldn't turn on.

"Hello there," a deep, rumbly voice said behind her.

Lily jumped and turned around. Standing there was the most magnificent bull she had ever seen. But this wasn't an ordinary bull—his fur shimmered like the night sky, with twinkling stars scattered across his back, and his horns glowed with soft moonlight.

"I'm Barnaby," the starry bull said kindly. "That phone belongs to someone very special."

"Who?" Lily asked, her eyes wide with wonder.

"A young boy who lost it while making a wish on the first star last night," Barnaby explained. "But look—there's something magical attached to it."

Lily looked closer. Wrapped around the phone was a glowing silver cable that seemed to stretch endlessly upward, disappearing into the blue sky like a ray of sunlight captured in thread.

"That's my dream cable," Barnaby said proudly. "It carries wishes from children's hearts all the way to the stars. Every time someone makes a wish, it travels up this cable like a spark of light."

Lily gasped. "Can we return the phone? The boy must be sad."

Barnaby lowered his magnificent starry head. "Climb on my back, little one. We'll follow the cable together."

Lily carefully climbed onto Barnaby's back. His fur felt warm and soft, like a blanket fresh from the dryer. As they trotted across the meadow, the glowing cable guided them like a silver thread through a giant's tapestry.

They found the boy sitting by a pond, tears streaming down his face. When he saw Lily riding the starry bull, his mouth fell open in amazement.

"Your phone!" Lily said, sliding down from Barnaby's back. "We brought it back."

"And look," Barnaby said gently. "Your wish traveled up the cable. What did you wish for?"

"A friend," the boy whispered. "I just moved here and don't know anyone."

Lily smiled. "I'm Lily. Would you like to meet my grandmother? She makes the best apple pie, and she lets us feed the chickens."

The boy's face lit up. "I'm Toby. Yes, please!"

As they walked back hand in hand, Barnaby's starry form began to fade into the sunlight, but his warm voice lingered in the gentle breeze. "Remember, little ones—the strongest cable isn't made of silver or gold. It's made of friendship, and it connects hearts forever."
