The Starry Bull's Gift

Lily lived in a tiny house at the top of the steepest hill. Every morning, she would press her nose against the window and watch the old cable car climb slowly up the mountain tracks, carrying people to adventures she could only imagine.

One night, when the moon was as round and bright as a golden coin, Lily noticed something strange. A great bull made entirely of twinkling stars stood at the edge of her garden. His coat shimmered like millions of diamonds, and his eyes held the wisdom of a thousand years.

"Please," the Starry Bull whispered, his voice sounding like wind through tall grass. "My silver hair has gotten tangled in the old cable car's wires. I cannot return to the sky until you help me."

Lily's heart beat fast, but she nodded bravely. She grabbed her flashlight and followed the magnificent creature up the winding path to the cable car station. Sure enough, strands of glowing silver hair were wrapped around the cable, preventing it from moving.

Carefully, Lily worked to untangle each knot. The silver hair felt like cool water running through her fingers. As she freed the last strand, the Starry Bull lowered his giant head.

"Thank you, brave child," he said. "For your kindness, I offer you a gift." With his nose, he touched her forehead, and suddenly Lily could see the hidden magic in everything—the songs of flowers, the dreams of trees, the secret wishes of stars.

"Remember," the bull said as he galloped upward into the night sky, becoming the constellation Taurus, "even the smallest kindness can untangle the biggest problems."

Lily waved goodbye, her heart full of wonder. From that night on, she never saw the world the same way again—and she always made time to help anyone who needed her, no matter how big or small the problem might be.
