The Starry Bull's Baseball Game
Emma loved baseball more than anything. Every evening, she'd practice in her backyard, hitting balls into the sunset. One day, she hit the ball so hard it disappeared into the clouds.
That night, as she sat beneath the old palm tree in her yard, a glowing baseball dropped from the stars and landed in her open palm. It shimmered like a tiny moon.
"You found it!" rumbled a deep, friendly voice.
Emma looked up. A magnificent bull with silver fur and horns made of stardust stood beside her. His eyes twinkled like distant galaxies.
"I'm Orion," the bull said. "That's my star-ball. It flies higher than any baseball in the world."
Orion explained that he was the Sky Bull, who played catch with constellations every night. But tonight, he'd lost his magical ball — and without it, the stars would fade and children everywhere would forget to dream.
"Will you help me play the game?" Orion asked. "Your hair shines with hope — I can see it from far above."
Emma's hair had always been ordinary brown, but now it glowed softly with golden light.
She climbed onto Orion's back, and they soared through the night. Up among the stars, they played the most wonderful baseball game ever. The moon was the pitcher. The planets were fielders. Emma hit the star-ball, and it scattered stardust across the sky.
When Emma returned home, Orion gave her a small gift: a single lock of her hair now sparkled with starlight. "Whenever you feel scared, touch this hair, and remember — you're brave enough to reach for the stars."
Now Emma plays baseball every day, and sometimes, when she hits the ball just right, she sees Orion winking from above. And her hair still glows, reminding everyone that even ordinary kids can do extraordinary things when they dare to dream big.
