The Starlight Vitamin

Lila loved running through the meadow behind her house, her bare feet padding against the soft grass. Every day after school, she would race the wind all the way to the old oak tree at the forest's edge. But today, something magical happened.

As Lila caught her breath, she noticed something sparkling near the tree roots. It was a tiny, glowing bottle filled with liquid that shimmered like captured starlight. A small fairy appeared, her wings glistening with morning dew.

"This is a special vitamin," the fairy whispered. "But not the kind you take with breakfast. This is a Vitamin of Wonder. It will help you see what others cannot."

Lila's eyes widened as she carefully opened the bottle. The moment she swallowed it, the world began to change. The forest around her seemed to wake up, and she could hear the water singing in a nearby stream she had never noticed before.

The fairy pointed toward a hidden path between the trees. "Follow where the water calls you. There's something that needs your help."

Lila began running faster than she ever had before, her heart pounding with excitement. The path led her deep into the enchanted forest, past flowers that bloomed and closed as she passed, and trees that whispered ancient secrets.

Suddenly, she emerged into a clearing she had never seen before. In the center was the most beautiful pool she could imagine – its water wasn't blue or green, but every color of the rainbow combined. Around the edges, tiny water sprites sat crying quietly.

"Our magic pool is dying," one sprite explained. "It needs someone who truly believes in magic to help it shine again."

Lila knelt beside the pool. The Vitamin of Wonder was still working – she could see the pool's magic fading, its colors growing dull. Without hesitation, she dipped her hands into the water and whispered, "I believe in you."

Something amazing happened. The water began to glow brighter and brighter. The sprites cheered as the pool filled with renewed magic, its colors swirling like a rainbow come to life. Lila had saved it just by believing.

As a thank you, the water sprites gave her a small vial of pool water. "Whenever you need us," they said, "just sprinkle this water and remember: magic lives wherever someone believes."

Lila ran all the way home, her heart full of joy. She knew that the real magic wasn't in the vitamin or the pool itself, but in having the courage to believe in something wonderful. And from that day on, every time she went running through the meadow, she kept her eyes and heart open for magic.
