The Starlight Pyramid

Leo discovered the golden pyramid hidden behind a stack of old boxes in Grandma's attic. It wasn't big—just the size of his hand—but it glowed with a warm, amber light that made his fingers tingle.

"What are you?" Leo whispered, turning the pyramid over in his hands. Suddenly, it clicked open, revealing five tiny crystals inside. Each one pulsed with a different color.

A deep, gentle voice rumbled behind him. "Those are courage vitamins, little one."

Leo spun around to see a magnificent bull standing among the dusty trunks. But this wasn't an ordinary bull—his coat shimmered like the night sky, with constellations twinkling across his back. His horns were made of polished silver, and his eyes held the wisdom of a thousand years.

"I'm Orion," the bull said kindly. "And you've found the Starlight Pyramid. It chooses one child each generation to share its magic."

Leo's heart raced. "Me? But I'm just... me. I'm scared of everything."

Orion nudged Leo's hand with his velvety nose. "That's why the pyramid chose you. True courage isn't about not being afraid. It's about being scared and doing the right thing anyway."

Suddenly, a shimmering cable of light descended from the attic's highest window, coiling around them like a snake made of starlight.

"Hold on tight," Orion said, lowering himself so Leo could climb onto his back. "We're going for a run!"

They shot upward through the cable, past clouds and birds, until the whole world spread below them like a patchwork quilt. Leo's fear melted away, replaced by wonder.

"Where are we going?" he called into the wind.

"To give these vitamins to children who need them," Orion replied. "One for kindness, one for honesty, one for hope, one for bravery, and one for love. These are the vitamins that make hearts strong."

All night long, they visited sleeping children around the world, leaving a tiny crystal under each pillow. Leo watched peaceful smiles spread across faces as the magic took hold.

When they returned to the attic, dawn was painting the sky pink and gold.

"Will I remember this?" Leo asked, sliding off Orion's back.

"You'll remember what matters," Orion said, fading into the morning light. "That courage isn't something you find. It's something you choose."

Leo woke up in his bed, the golden pyramid gone. But in his pocket, he found one tiny crystal—bravery orange, pulsing with warmth. And somehow, he knew that whenever he felt scared, he could reach into his pocket and remember: the real magic had been inside him all along.
