The Starlight Padel Bear

Lily loved the old padel court behind her grandmother's house. It was covered in vines and looked like it hadn't been used in years, but Lily imagined it was magical. Every evening, she'd peek through the fence, wondering what secrets it held.

One starry night, Lily heard a strange _thwack-thwack_ sound coming from the court. Curious, she tiptoed closer and gasped. There, playing padel all by himself under the moonlight, was a great brown bear!

The bear noticed Lily and froze. A padel racket hung from his fuzzy paw like it was made just for him.

"I'm sorry," the bear rumbled softly. "I didn't think anyone would see me. My name is Bruno."

Lily's eyes widened. "You can talk! And you're playing padel!"

Bruno smiled, his nose wiggling. "Every full moon, the old court comes alive. I've been watching children play for years. I just wanted to try."

Lily thought for a moment. She could have run away, but something about Bruno's sad eyes made her stay. "Would you like a friend to play with?"

Bruno's face lit up. "More than anything!"

They played padel together until dawn—Bruno gently hit the ball so Lily could return it, and Lily taught him how to serve. They laughed as Bruno got his paws tangled in the net and cheered when Lily made her first perfect shot.

As the sun began to rise, Bruno grew sad. "I must go back to the forest now. But thank you, Lily, for being my friend."

"Wait!" Lily rummaged in her pocket and pulled out her favorite lucky bracelet. "Take this. Now you'll always have a piece of our game."

Bruno's eyes shimmered as he took it. "And you take this." He placed a fuzzy brown feather in her hand. "From the best game ever played."

Lily never saw Bruno again, but every full moon, she leaves a new padel ball at the old court. And sometimes, if she listens very carefully, she can hear the gentle _thwack-thwack_ of a bear and his friend playing among the stars.

The old padel court wasn't forgotten anymore. It was where Lily learned that the best friends come in the most unexpected shapes—and that magic is real when you believe.
