The Starlight Garden Promise

Lily loved visiting her grandmother's cottage by the sea. Every summer, she'd help tend the magical garden behind the house, where flowers glowed at midnight and fireflies danced like tiny stars.

One evening, as the sun began to set, Lily discovered something amazing. The old teddy **bear** she'd left on the garden bench last summer had changed! Its button eyes sparkled like real stars, and when she picked it up, it whispered, "The garden needs you, Lily."

The bear led her behind the palm tree, where a hidden door shimmered in the air. Inside was a breathtaking meadow filled with golden light. In the center stood a magnificent creature – a starry **bull** with constellations swirling in his fur and moonbeams for horns.

"I am Orion," the bull said gently. "I protect the dreams children plant in this garden. But someone has forgotten their promise, and my magic is fading."

Lily's eyes widened. "I promised to water the moonflowers last summer, but I had to go home early when my brother got sick."

Orion nodded. "The garden remembers broken promises. But it also remembers hearts that truly care."

The bull lowered his giant head, and Lily placed her small **palm** against his nose. Warmth flowed through her – memories of every summer she'd spent playing among the glowing flowers, every wish she'd made on falling stars, every promise she'd meant to keep.

"You may have forgotten once," the bear whispered, hopping onto her shoulder, "but you've returned. That's what matters."

Together, Lily, the bear, and Orion sang an old song Grandmother had taught her. The moonflowers bloomed instantly, silver blossoms opening like umbrellas. Fireflies swirled around them, leaving trails of magic that stitched the cracks in Orion's constellation coat.

"Promise keeping isn't about being perfect," Orion said as his light returned. "It's about coming back, even when it's hard. That's the bravest magic of all."

That night, Lily fell asleep under the palm tree with her starry bear in her arms. She dreamed of starlit gardens, friendly bulls, and the most important lesson of all: real friends always wait for you to come back.
